Day 5: Piedra Numerada–La Hoya (4100m)
Today will be a long day! We climb up to la Hoya (4100m), going very slowly, making enough breaks to prevent overexertion. Again, pack animals carry the group equipment. We will set up camp on the border area of a glacier field. Nice view of the Plomo ascent route. Accommodation in double tents.

Day 6: La Hoya (4100m)–Cerro Plomo (5424m)–La Hoya
Today we leave early for the peak of Plomo, only carrying light equipment. The 1300m-ascent leaves us short of breath, even though the route is quite easy! After reaching the summit and enjoying the spectacular views of our next destination, Aconcagua (6959m), we return to our camp La Hoya. Accommodation in double tents.

Day 7:  La Hoya–La Parva–Santiago
Since we can make the climb back down to La Parva, where our driver already awaits us till late afternoon, we drive back to Santiago on the same day. We enjoy the comforts of our hotel, especially the hot shower and a nice evening meal. Hotel accommodation.
